A beautiful, comfortable five-bedroom apartment in the extremely popular Chamoissière residence in Le Monêtier les Bains, Serre Chevalier 1500. The apartment is perfect for a big family with multiple double bedrooms, or a group of friends coming together.
Over two years, the owners of this beautiful five-bedroom apartment have created elegantly furnished, spacious accommodation that offers a really special experience for ski and summer holidays. Situated within the unique Chalets de la Chamoissière residence (Le Monêtier les Bains, Serre Chevalier 1500), Elégance sleeps up to 10 guests.
Located in one of five chalets right at the foot of the pistes, give or take 150 metres, this apartment may be familiar to some of you. Around half of the property used to be known as ‘La Cabane’! Upon buying the property next door to La Cabane, the owners and their architect set out to create a fabulous five bedroom two-floor apartment with a superb layout; perfect for a big family or a group of friends reuniting for some time together. There are great views and tons of light from the large windows (many of which open onto balconies) – the view from the open kitchen-diner is exceptional (south and north-facing mountains, ski pistes and the iconic Rochebrune mountain, centrally placed and so difficult to take your eyes off!)
Enter the apartment and turn left – wow, what a kitchen! And a dining experience to remember with a long table that seats eight guests comfortably and enjoys the balcony at proximity – in summer this is such a treat. Two additional guests will adore the two best seats in the house, at the breakfast-dinner bar with views directly down the valley!
The kitchen boasts a marble worktop, induction hob, Krups coffee machine, dishwasher, oven, fridge freezer, … just perfect for keen cooks and making this space a real home-from-home.
From here, you take the staircase to two bedrooms: Bedroom 1 (a double with valley views), and Bedroom 2 (a large room under the eaves with two doubles). These two bedrooms share a bathroom with shower, sink and WC.
Now we will nip back downstairs… pass through the kitchen-diner and enter a lovely lounge area with open fire, views down the valley and another balcony. Then onto the additional bedrooms! First, a snug (with two single beds) is cleverly designed and you can imagine young children, teens (and grown adults!) hanging out in pure comfort after a day’s skiing or hiking on the mountains. Bedroom 3 at the end of the hall can be set up as a twin or a double, has views of the mountains and ski lifts and has a bathroom with bath/shower, sink and WC just adjacent.
A second staircase takes us to Bedroom 4 (a spacious double with a small balcony) and Bedroom 5 (a small double under the eaves with a view of the mountains and ski lifts). These share the third bathroom with double sinks, shower and WC.
And the handy bit: a 4th WC is near the entrance along with a utility and kit room with washing machine and dryer.
welcomed by the bespoke larch kitchen (new 2016) and lounge, along with dining room, family bathroom and Bedroom 3 which has a double sofa bed. From the lounge area you can access the balcony and watch skiers make their way down the pistes.
Take the staircase and you’ll find the master bedroom (Bedroom 1) with a large double bed and beautiful view down the valley. A shower room with WC is right next to this room. Bedroom 2 is on the same floor and is spacious with two single beds.
The private spa for residents includes an outdoor heated pool with indoor and outdoor sunloungers, relaxation room, hammam, sauna and private changing room.
Within 150 metres is an equipment hire shop (20% discount), slope-side restaurant, British-run ski school New Generation Ski School Serre Chevalier and lift-pass offices, plus safe areas for children to sledge, play and generally have heaps of fun!
Walk within 350 metres for all the village amenities; no less than eleven restaurants at last count, a brilliant butchers, patisseries, handy supermarket, newsagents, bars, equipment hire and sports shops, museums, alpine gift stores, …
We ask that you do not smoke in the apartment.
The outdoor heated pool is open every day 10:00 – 20:00 (summer) and 17:00 – 20:00 (winter). The sauna and hammam are open every day 17:00 – 20:00 when the pool is open. Please note that around mid-May until mid-June, and early December, the pool and spa are open weekends only. Annual closure is from early October to mid-December (please check the opening hours with us for these periods.)
